City Art Gallery will host a personal exhibition of the artist Alexey Yezhov

City Art Gallery from September 15-15 will host a personal exhibition of the artist Alexey Yezhov. the artist's Paintings resemble mysterious images of a bestiary containing descriptions of strange creatures. Among the images often found on his canvases are birds and insects, camels and rhinoceroses… The inhabitants of this world are frozen in melancholy contemplation of the surrounding towers, through which the trees grow, with a striking dispassion considering elephants or rhinoceroses, whose flesh is fused with the details of the mechanisms that provide their movement. Ezhov's works are not devoid of specific humor. Fantastic animals coexist in this space with people who inhabit strange structures-hybrids of living organisms and mechanical devices. When they are intertwined, they seem to grow into space itself. The world depicted by the artist is frozen in contemplation and waiting for the viewer's gaze.
